THE GVB Program
In our comprehensive 11-lesson GVB course, led by experienced and certified golf professionals, you’ll master the foundational skills of golf required to achieve your GVB (club handicap 54). This program covers all essential golf techniques and strategies, ensuring participants feel confident on the course.
The course includes a theory component, which is crucial for understanding golf’s official rules and etiquette. To help you prepare thoroughly, we recommend using the NGF (Netherlands Golf Federation) website, where you can study essential rules and take practice exams at home. This preparation not only supports success in the final theory exam but also helps participants gain familiarity with real course scenarios.
After completing the theory exam, participants will have the chance to play a qualifying round of 9 holes. Upon submission of your scorecard, you’ll be assigned your initial handicap based on your performance, marking a key milestone in your golf journey.
Additionally, Golf Waterland offers a discount on follow-up lessons for continued improvement, and participants can join Golfstart Par 3 competitions to further develop their skills in a friendly, competitive environment. These competitions are a great way to test your abilities, meet other golfers, and continue progressing after earning your GVB.
The course concludes with a theory exam, followed by a qualifying round of 9 holes to assign your handicap. You’ll also receive discounts on follow-up lessons and can join Par 3 competitions.
